Frequently Asked Questions
Why is garlic used in pigeon nutrition?
Garlic has a long tradition in pigeon keeping for its natural antimicrobial, blood-purifying and immune-supporting properties. It contains allicin and sulphur compounds that support respiratory health, gut flora balance and general vitality — particularly useful during the demanding racing and breeding seasons.
Can I use it as a moistening agent?
Yes — Garlic Juice is specifically recommended by Beyers as a moistening agent to help powder supplements like Brewer’s Yeast adhere evenly to grain before feeding.
Is it suitable for year-round use?
Yes — use 1–2 times per week throughout the year. During the racing season, prioritise use at the start of the week to support recovery and prepare birds for the next race.
How should I store it?
Store in a cool, dark place. Keep the cap tightly closed between uses.
