Frequently Asked Questions

Are calciworms better than mealworms?
Calciworms contain significantly more calcium than mealworms, making them especially beneficial during the breeding season. Many bird feeders use both to provide a varied, balanced diet.

Can I feed calciworms to birds all year round?
Yes — suitable for year-round feeding and especially valuable during spring and summer breeding seasons and cold winter months.

How should I serve dried calciworms?
Offer on a bird table, ground tray or in a mesh feeder. Soaking in water for 20–30 minutes before serving makes them more appealing to birds.

How do I store dried calciworms?
Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container. Avoid damp conditions as moisture can cause spoilage.

The image they use of this item is misleading. The image is of dried mealworms and the name of the product is dried calciworms. I emailed them to explain this and they argued with me. Terrible customer service.
